Main events of Moscow Russia took place in the Kremlin Hall of Facets. It was the gala throne-room for Russia Tsars. It was the largest and the highest room in Old Moscow (its square is five hundred square metres and the height is nine metres).
Under Peter the Great instead of former embassy reception new comedies and the motley weddings took place in the Hall of Facets. The capital was replaced to Petersburg. But the coronation was still held in Moscow, in Assumption Cathedral and in the Hall of Facets.
Its facade is decorated by faceted stones that's why the name is the Hall of Facets.
